What about non-labelled food?
Non-labelled food is very variable in terms of ethical and environmental impact.
Our intention is to enable as many people as possible to make the best purchasing decisions that are available to them. We rate labelled food as most people in the UK buy most of their food from supermarkets, and lots of that food is labelled.
However, we recognise that there is a lot of non-labelled, small-scale, community produced food that is very good. As we grow we aim to feature and promote the work of good producers, both those who do and don’t use labels.
